Thanksgiving Post!

Hey everyone :) Hope you guys like this post, it's Thanksgiving tomorrow so it seemed appropriate. I made a poem in my journal last year that I'll be sharing tomorrow!! :)
So this post will be about what I am thankful for.

  1. Family/friend support. They're amazing and help me with prayer and care. <3 You guys!
  2.  You guys! My readers and subbies are fine people :D This goes for both my primary book blog and my beauty blog.
  3. God!! He is of course just my life and guides me... Which leads me tooo
  4. Bad days. I know this is weird, but I'm thankful for bad days because they make me who I am and they make me into the blogger, writer, dancer, and daughter I am supposed to be.
  5. Blessings. God has given me friends, oppurtunities, and other things in my life that I have never deserved. I am so fortunate.
  6. Emotion/Expression. I am a girl and a writer and dancer ;D I have a lot of emotions, so God has helped me find a way to express these things through you guys, vlogging/Youtube, dance, and art.
  7. Beauty of life. Our world is so pretty and we need to be thankful for that.
  8. Wordsssss :) What would I do without them? And books. They're half the people in my life. No shame!! Book lover <---------
  9. The mistakes I make. Like number 6, they form me into who I am.
  10. Imperfections and beauty "concerns". They help me realize that being me is being beautiful, and I'm glad I can try to inspire some of you guys to feel beautiful as well. But it also helps to know that what's on the inside is most important, and ultimately, people care about the heart, not the beauty part.
I hope you guys liked this post~ A bit late, but better late than never. Keep reading, you're beautiful, and I love you! Happy Thanksgiving!

Ari <3 :)

My Lame Excuse

Hey guys -- super quick apology post with a bunch of updates.
I love you guys. And I absolutely love blogging. And at the moment I am a blogger, dancer, writer, vlogger, daughter, sister, and student. I have a lot on my plate and I feel really really really bad about not posting!!!!!!!!!!
 But a bunch of updates

  1. I am on Tumblr now! I heard that it was fun, so...Yeah. I am a Blogger girl forever though! To be honest, I thought Tumblr was for lame hipsters. But I guess I'll use it to advertise this blog, ya know? My username is beautiful-xoxo-ari, and it's about what this blog is about: my faith and beauty tied up in one. Also self worth because you guys are priceless ;) <--- The cheesiness factor there ugggh
  2. I have gotten used to school stress, which is good in a weird way. Let's just say I'm handling it much better.
  3. I am going to try and post more because I feel like I'm losing you!
  4.  Do you guys want more videos? Because I can upload them from my channel to here super easily.
  5. You are still very important to me and I work on blog drafts every time I get!!
Don't think you aren't important to me because you most certainly are :)

If you're reading this on TAB:

Review - Kitty Hawk And The Curse of the Yukon Gold

Hey guys! I haven't done a post in a little while, and I thought it would be nice to (finally) post my review!!
Let me just start out that this is my first publisher-requested review, and I'm  a little nervous!!

Kitty Hawk and the Curse of the Yukon Gold

Four out of five possible planes.
Release Date: November 30th, 2012
Summary: Kitty Hawk and the Curse of the Yukon Gold is the thrilling first installment in a new series of adventure mystery stories that are one part travel, one part history and five parts adventure. This first book of the Kitty Hawk Flying Detective Agency Series introduces Kitty Hawk, an intrepid teenage pilot with her own De Havilland Beaver seaplane and a nose for mystery and intrigue. A cross between Amelia Earhart, Nancy Drew and Pippi Longstocking, Kitty is a quirky young heroine with boundless curiosity and a knack for getting herself into all kinds of precarious situations.
Note: This book was provided by Kelsey at Book Publicity Services in exchange for an honest review.

After leaving her home in the western Canadian fishing village of Tofino to spend the summer in Alaska studying humpback whales Kitty finds herself caught up in an unforgettable adventure involving stolen gold, devious criminals, ghostly shipwrecks, and bone-chilling curses. Kitty's adventure begins with the lingering mystery of a sunken ship called the Clara Nevada and as the plot continues to unfold this spirited story will have armchair explorers and amateur detectives alike anxiously following every twist and turn as they are swept along through the history of the Klondike Gold Rush to a suspenseful final climatic chase across the rugged terrain of Canada's Yukon, the harsh land made famous in the stories and poems of such writers as Jack London, Robert Service and Pierre Berton. It is a riveting tale that brings to glorious life the landscape and history of Alaska's inside passage and Canada's Yukon, as Kitty is caught up in an epic mystery set against the backdrop of the scenery of the Klondike Gold Rush.

Kitty Hawk and the Curse of the Yukon Gold is a perfect book to fire the imagination of readers of all ages. Filled with fascinating and highly Google-able locations and history this book will inspire anyone to learn and experience more for themselves as Kitty prepares for her next adventure - flying around the world!

What I liked: I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Kitty progress as a person. She is adventurous but just like her mom she loves nature and all it's beauty. I also liked how Kitty knew what she wanted, she wasn't distracted by a certain boy (who wasn't really that swoon-worthy in my opinion) who crossed her path. I enjoy a protagonist who knows what they want.* I also liked how Kitty was an introvert. You will find her throughout the book having inward conversations because she is scared that what she has to say is irrelevant.
At the same time though, Kitty was real. She had an extremely vulnerable personality, which was interesting to see at the same time as watching her knowing what she wanted. Kitty was a lovable personality to anyone who reads.

What I didn't Like: Okay, so, seeing Kitty being held hostage was NOT fun. I was screaming at her to get outta there quick. Four men, brothers, took her "in" when she was adventuring and she saw them talking about the gold. She actually befriended these guys, and while that was interesting to see, I would have thought it was more smart for her NOT to get involved in the whole gold-stealing thing, with those four men.
Woah, P-L-O-T TWIST!Skip next line if you hate spoilers. Highlight to see it.

Eddie is short for Edward as in Kitty's crush!
I was shipping Edward and Kitty and I was disapointed that they went out on one date and nothing came from that. And if this is a series and the adventure of Alaska has ended, then where is it gonna go?

Overall Statement: Read this book! It will keep you guessing and it is mostly clean except for a few words. I'd say nobody under the under 10 crowd should steer clear.

So that's it for this review, thanks for reading, and thank you Kelsey @Book Publicity Services for this oppurtunity!

Back and on Fire!

Hey! It's Jane here, and I forgot to tell you really great news: I am trying to get a book published with my bff, Holly! She's super nice. Funny little story: we wrote the stories(they were a series that never got a part two) in November of 2010. I went over a couple of days ago, and we asked her Dad if we could look in the file cabinet for the stories-just to reminisce. We found 2 of them, and we loved the first one so much  we wanted to re-write it! So we got up the nerve to do it. I typed up the whole thing and Holly was the editor, helped me point out incorrect grammar we used. ;) We both wrote the content, though. And we both illustrated--I drew and she coloured in the drawings for me. When we were done we showed both our parents and they advised us to get it published! So we are sending copies of it out to publishers and teachers of our old schools soon. Really cool, huh!! It's a children's book, and I don't want to post it on here because people might take >:o But I just wanted to say that because it's really cool.

Secondly, I wanted to mention how I am going to be posting a review tomorrow sometime around 6:00pm, so be on the lookout for that.

Second-to LASTLY I would like to say how I am going to be doing a writing update: my style, Esther's challenge, etc.

Lastly, I'm putting this in bold because it is super important!!!

I'm gonna be doing an Ask Jane!! I haven't hosted one in quite a long time, so please submit questions about anything and everything!! If you are okay with it, I'm gonna be doing a Youtube video where I broadcast me answering the questions, fun.

Thanks so much for reading, I love you and books, haha! :D  Tell me what you think of my channel, and always be sure to add me on Google +, and share this on there too! K bye!! Talk to you later!!

I did write them down though, so I will copy them into my blogging draft section later. I am in the process of making a new, professional blog where I can talk about reviews and my policies and all that jazz. But right now I am enjoying blogging with you :)

Esther Challenge: Day 2

I feel stressed. I'm so nervous about everything that I just had a breakdown. I was hyperventilating and I couldn't talk. I'm really nervous.

My dad still isn't doing well and neither is my mom :'( she is really stressed and doesn't have anyone to talk to. Please, please pray for her.

I'm so obsessed over the Internet that my education is taking a step back. Remind me who I was starting this: A girl who loved and focused on school, with a blog as a part-time hobby.

Sometimes I wish I could've known Esther personally. She seemed like a great person and friend.

So that's it for my entry for today. Kinda depressing :( But I'm not really feeling to happy, so. Yeah. Bye guys.

Esther Challenge Day 1

Esther Challenge, Day 1

I am feeling okay. I am excited about blogging but then I have so much other stuff. Like family. I always make time for family on the weekends but on weekdays I have homework until 6! But I love my family.
I am worried about my dad. He is so amazing but in health he has gotten a wake-up call. That makes me sad. I am worried about him. Not because I am stressed. Because I love him.
I feel weird. It's the strange mix between anger and excitement then sadness, then anxiety. Is that weird? I just feel like, like the whole world is starting to be weird, you know?
I know that sounds crazy. My mama would be shaking her head right now.
But here's what I mean about the "world" : I need to start acting mature, and I don't really know if I'm ready for that. Sometimes I think maybe I'll be in sixth grade doing my nails and blogging and reading books forever but it's not like that. And now I realize: There are more things going on than I realize: like with my Dad, and with myself. I need to buckle down and work hard, even if it isn't fun.
God will help me, though.

Wow, I am so glad I got that off my chest. Thanks for reading. <:}

Youtube Channel?

Hey guys! It's Jane and I just thought of an idea : a Youtube channel where I review books and DIY projects and nails and stuff!

I'm so excited about this but I want to let you know that I CANNOT show my face, sorry! I love talking to you guys tho. So yeah. I am so excited about it. I need permission first,so if you are reading this, mom, please know that I will NOT show my face!! Thanks for the support! Love you all to pieces!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back-in-the Day Blogs

Hello everyone, how do you do? Jane here. I just wanted to give you a chance to see the pathetic blogs I used to make. I talk about these all the time.  I was about 9 when I did these blogs. I started blogging at 7 :) On my mom's blog. But I remember how fun it used to be, seeing my words in my own bright pink font, marching across the screen like tiny soilders.

Oh, memories :)
Here are the links:

Honestly, I was really desperate. Tell me what you think in the comments! Thanks so much for reading, keep loving books.

Apologies from Yours Truly

Hello readers!!! Are you still there?

I've been wondering because lately I haven't been posting. My good blogger buddy friend told me that the secret to getting publicity was posting : And let me just put it out there- I haven't posted in a REALLY long time.

( My readers reading this : me reading this)

I have been really busy. I started middle school today, HURRAY!!
I still love to read, write, and blog, but unfortunately I just haven't had time to blog. Vacation, summer homework, etc. I CANNOT SAY THIS ENOUGH: I'M SORRY!

Enough of the sorrys or no?
Well in some other news, I have a close friend from dance who I'm trying to get to do a guest post on here. She's a phenomeonal writer and she's also really nice in person.
I have been working on some stories, and guess what, guys? I have gone back to songwriting! I strayed from it for about 3 years but I realize poetry can be turned into songs, too.

So I need to say this before I log off: The only book blog feature I will be participating in is Random Fridays every other time it happens.
Thank you so much for reading and keep loving books!
God Bless,
Jane Blogger

(About that, you might be noticing how on my other blog, Tell Me About It, I have started signing off as Ari. I won't on here solely because my name, Jane, is inspired by two of my favourite books. One is Pies & Prejudice by Heather Vogel Frederick, another is "Blog on!" By Dandi Daley Mackall, a Christian author. Thanks so much for reading,
YOUR fan,

Review: The Fault In our Stars

COVER POINTS: Out of a 10, I'd say a nine :) It is very iconic now. I'm running to get an Okay? t-shirt!

What I liked: I liked Augustus Waters. Everyone does, really. But I liked him more than Hazel at most times. I think Green caputred how a relationship could be when both of the people have cancer. I thought that the whole concept was sweet. I liked the premise of the book: I had this on my TBR list for quite a while, and when the movie came out I stomped my foot and demanded to buy it. So I did :)
I liked how well the story flowed, speed was perfect. That oftentimes is an issue for me, because if a story goes too fast, I am left with too many questions. I was left with many questions in this book, but not about the STORY itself. I had questions about death, and even if it sounds weird, books like this can make you ponder death. I love how Augustus Waters said "I think forever is an inocorrect concept." *Swoon*

What I Didn't Like: Some of Hazels thoughts were very disorganized. Might be the medicine, but at times I don't believe she knew what she wanted. First she was in love with him madly, then she said she was a grenade and didn't want to be in a relationship with Augustus, and finally she loves him again. It was hard to see why she DIDN'T want to be with him.

Look guys,  I know that we all loved Augustus, so it was really bad that he(Highlight to see) died. hIGHLIGHT TO SEE THE STUFFF I'M WRITING, WHEN IT GOES WHITE LIKE THIS. THANKS :)

So we got emotional. But what happened opened up a new side of Hazel that I liked to see. She wasn't totally melting like most teenagers, or teenage girls to be correct. I thought it was sweet how much she leaned on her parents for comfort.

Overall: Read this book! Readitreaditreaditreaditreaditreadit!!!!!!!!!

This book was so amazing-- so many emotions at once, but still a clear plot. Right now it's hard for me to blog because I keep saying stuff and stuff and stuff. This book was just that: Indescribable.

Reviews Postponed

Hi everyone! It's Jane here. I'm really sorry, but TFIOS and Charmed Life reviews will have to be postponed, due to another upcoming blog :) . You will be able to see it soon. It's under construction right now. I will be going to Maine for a vaycay!

I actually always go to Maine, and it's an amazing place for a writer. It really is. But this is my first summer missing a blog! My first blog only really lasted like 3 months. Then I gave up because I had like 0 pageviews. But I like having my blogs now, it's really fun.

Okay, Jane, focus. I'm going to be posting something on Tell Me About It that even non-girly bookworms might like. Guess what it is. TFIOS NAILS!!!! Eee! I'm going to post some pics tomorrow. Anyway, I have got to go, so I'll see ya through the screen later. Thanks for reading!

Review: Dorothy Must Die.

Book: Dorothy Must Die
Cover Points: On a scale from 1-5, I say 5. I love this cover.
Author: Danielle Paige
Rating: 4.5 stars.

Blurb: didn't ask for any of this. I didn't ask to be some kind of hero.

But when your whole life gets swept up by a tornado—taking you with it—you have no choice but to go along, you know?

Sure, I've read the books. I've seen the movies. I know the song about the rainbow and the happy little blue birds. But I never expected Oz to look like this. To be a place where Good Witches can't be trusted, Wicked Witches may just be the good guys, and winged monkeys can be executed for acts of rebellion. There's still the yellow brick road, though—but even that's crumbling.

What happened? Dorothy.

They say she found a way to come back to Oz. They say she seized power and the power went to her head. And now no one is safe.

My name is Amy Gumm—and I'm the other girl from Kansas.

I've been recruited by the Revolutionary Order of the Wicked.

I've been trained to fight.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I loved this book. I liked how deliciously evil everything was, and even though I hated her, I thought Dorothy was a fantastic character. That's what a good writer can do, can make you feel so many emotions at once. I certainly did. Some of the characters were confusing, and kept me wondering throughout the book. I understand that Oz was confusing so naturally the characters would be. I read in one of Awkwordly Emma's reviews that she loved how Danielle was able to twist her world, or version I should say, into L. Frank Baum's. I had the same feelings while reading. This book kept me on the edge of my seat.

What I didn't like was the ending, language and violence(You'll see this in 'the end' para.). I found the F word, S word constantly used in the beginning of the book, when Amy gets to Oz. Thanks to a goth munchkin, who despite being grumpy and having bad language was an extremely likable character.

The ending: This book ended too quickly and left too many things unexplained. I understand that sometimes books leave questions to make room for a next book, but it also ended very quickly, right where things got super intense and everything was happening and you're wondering does Dorothy die then you're like AHH and then-
The end.

That's how I felt. It wasn't properly finished, but although getting me upset the ending didn't change how I felt about the book. What took the .5 away was violence. This book gets gruesome around Dorothy but at the end I was cringing, I really was. I had to grab Caitlyn's Lucky Charm to get all of the grossness out of my head. Thank God that book is very fluffy.

Read this book. You will thoroughly enjoy it, but be prepared for some violence and quite some language.I will be doing another post on my three favourite characters from the three books I got at Barnes that day.

Thanks for reading so much! All the links are to Goodreads, where you can buy this book and read reviews. Friend me and you'll see my mini-review on it!
Also check out Awkwordly Emma's review on it, you will enjoy that as well. I hope you enjoyed my first full review!!!

Hi readers! It's Jane here. Happy July! I'm saying that with a guilty face because I realized that I haven't posted anything since 6/25.

Dorothy Discoveries

Hi everyone! I made a really interesting discovery just now. So as you all know, I am currently reading Dorothy Must Die bye Danielle Paige. And like, I'm totally engrossed in it. Review coming soon. But anyway, I was researching The Wizard of Oz recently, and I decided to look up Judy Garland.  And guess what. You will totally, like, fall off your seat right now.

The Garland sisters were also known as: YES, THE GUMM SISTERS.

Yeah, people, Google it. It's on her wiki bio.
I mean, how awesome is that!
Hope you find this as interesting as I did.

Re-cap, What Happened in this Bookish Week?

Hello everyone! How was/is your day? I hope it's good. Well, for this blog post, Jane has come back again to tell you all about this week because there were a lot of bookish happenings. Here are some:

  1. I got three new books! ( If you follow me on Goodreads, then you'll see that I got..)
  2. The Fault In Our Stars, By John Green. I got this book on Thursday and I finished it on Friday. It was a powerful story. There were some iffy parts, but I enjoyed it nevertheless and recently have been really liking any TFIOS memorabilia.
  3.  Dorothy Must Die, By Danielle Paige. A review might be coming soon. But I haven't finished it yet.
  4.  The first book in the Charmed Life   series by Lisa Schroeder, which is Caitlin's Lucky Charm. I was really excited for this series because Mrs.Schroeder is one of my favorite authors...
  5.  After I went to Barnes and Nobles and about fangirled in those YA isles because I was seeing the  titles I'd seen online, I came back and wrote a letter to Mrs.Schroeder. Just some basic fan mail, but still.
I also went online and saw some really awesome TFIOS... Fan swag, I guess you could say? Here are some of my favorites.
The Fault In Our Stars Inspired Sneakers
Really, who can resist these?
The Fault in Our Stars Necklace
Okay. Okay. TFiOS Inspired Friendship Necklaces
Definitely .... How do you say?

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed it. Oh, by the way, if you haven't read it already, READ THE FAULT IN OUR STARS AND DO NOT COME BACK UNTIL YOU HAVE FINISHED IT. THANK YOU.
Sorry about that. But really, go, you must read it. Bye!

Going Private Temporarily

Hello everyone! Jane here. Happy June, I almost forgot to say that! Well, you all remember Ashlee, right? Well, she's helping re-design this blog. It's going under some major changes, as someone I know likes to say, and I need to keep the blog private.  Feel free to visit my other blog, Tell Me About It. I will be available for any questions or hair tips (which I will need, because my dance is coming up!!), but sadly I won't be posting, as I just don't have the time. I'm sorry, guys, but it does get busy in June. This was just a small post to say that, but still, thanks for reading!

My Blog Logo

Hello everyone! The hiatus might just be over! That was short, huh? Well, I'm excited because my blogger buddy, Ashlee M., has made me a new logo for TAB! It's amazing, trust me, and it goes with the whole blog's theme. We're actually sponsoring eachother's blogs because we both would like some more pageviews. So, here it is:

Wow is all I  can say. Wow. Be sure to visit the designer's blog at: You Can Tell Everybody/ Ashlee & Jacob's Blog
Thanks for reading, fellas!

How am I doing? / This blog's hiatus

Hi everyone! That's one of the few introductions I use: hi. Well, anyway, I'm doing just a little late Suggestion Saturday / Sunday and I'm also announcing that for this blog I'm going on hiatus, to wait until the right post comes wandering to my fingertips and onto the keyboard.

So for this week's Suggestion Saturday I'm asking a question:
How am I doing?
Other than the low amount of pageviews, I can tell from looking at the amounts of comments that TAB isn't as exciting as it used to be. I'm trying to get things in, and I'm trying to read a lot of books. Well, I'm actually trying to savor Little Women because I can't really follow it if I rush, and as for reading books my parents said I could be getting a gift this June... a gift card to Barnes!
You have no idea how excited I am.
Well anyway, I just wanted to ask where I kind of lost ya'll because I've been posting and posting, and it's just not really going so well. I might be on hiatus for the next few days. But Tell Me About It will be active.
Thanks for reading and I hope I get some suggestions this Saturday! :)

Random Fridays: My Dream Birthday Party

                           Hosted by Awkwordly Emma.
So this is actually just my second time participating in Random Fridays, but I hope I get the rules and everything right!
So, my dream birthday party would have everything I love: Music, a  beauty station, and of course..
What would I want for me birthday?

  • Books
  • Books
  • Books
  • Notebooks
  • Fountain pens'
  • Books
  • Nail polish
Yeah. Pretty much explains itself. Since I haven't been exploring new book types, I'm interested in what people would think I would like.

The table would look like this:

I love the pink napkins, especially.

The food, although I love the idea of being book inspired, would be all from where my family is from, and for dessert we would have something like this:

French sorbet, to go with the all pink - ish theme :)

Well, I hope you had fun reading this post. It's the first time I've really participated in it, so yeah. Thanks so much for reading!!

My Pick Mondays and A Double Jane

Hello readers!
You might've noticed that My Pick Mondays is a fashion feature on Tell Me About It, my other blog.
I've decided to make up my own features, and My Pick Mondays is one of them. This is where I choose a word, book, or term, and tell you the reasons why I like to see it.
Also, another feature will be Double Jane, where I'll give a Jane quote (Austen, Eyre, such) and give it again in my own words. I've expirimented, and it's really fun.

My Pick Mondays:

The word I chose was : Euphonious
I absolutely love this word because I saw it asa a synonym for melodious, which is my favorite word! Euphonious means that it is musical, or pleasant to hear.
I love it because rather than saying "pleasant" or "good", I can sound smart and say, that was quite euphonious!
Okay guys, unfortunately this is going to be it for My Pick Mondays. Double Jane will be posted later. Wish me luck, because tonight is my dress rehearsal for my recital!

Little Women Vocab

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been posting in a long time, nothing has really come to mind. So as you know, I've been reading Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, and if you want to understand half of the book, you need to be ready to see all the words and terms in there.....

  1. This word has gotten on my very last nerve. Becoming - This means pretty. Think of a girl becoming very pretty as she 'becomes' older and grows into herself. Becoming was pretty easy to figure out.
  2.  Queer - This means weird.
  3. A term - Care for. This actually means like
  4. . *SPOILER*  Megan ' cares for ' Mr. Brooke or John and not Laurie, the boy Jo wanted her to marry.
  5. Okay okay, I'm done now. Just skip that tiny line. :) Okay, another word that you'll need to know is lackadaisical - lackuhdaeseecull- which means not enthusiastic. Think "Lack of daisy - cull '' and think of daisies as happieness.
  6. Plummy - Highly desirable.
That's about it! If any of you have questions with the vocabulary in Little Women or any other classic book or book in general, just tell me about it in the comments, okay? I'm going to try to make both of my blogs more inter-active, like a youtube channel without seeing eachother. So, that's about it! Thank you so much for reading!
 Keep flipping the pages,

Coming up Next on The Anything Blog - And Suggestions

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't blogged in a little while. Well, I'm back now. I decided to do a coming up next kind of thing to get people excited about what comes. So here's my list.

  1. A guest post by Alicia the Awesome (link to blog coming soon)
  2.  I WILL participate in Random Friday and Top Ten Tuesday, and if I can't I apologize
  3.  Suggestion Saturday and Sunday
  4.  Ask Jane on both blogs
  5. Excited for ARCS
So those are my guest posts that will be coming up!
When I say suggestions, I mean for you to give me suggestions. It's not Suggestion Saturday but I'm trying to make the Anything Blog better.

Oh, I forgot to say! I've read this really nice Christian lit series called Blog on ! By Dandi Daley Mackall. This is actually the series that inspired me to blog. Shout out to Mrs. Mackall, thank you and God bless! Anyway, I just wanted to share about it. it's children's literature, but it's really good.

Thanks for reading, everyone! Check back tomorrow on Tell Me About It for updates about emotion & more! Have a nice ( but rainy over here) night!

Back From Concord!

Hello everyone! It's me, Jane. I just came back, today, from a trip to Concord!

Well, it was just amazing. Here are some things I got( from my wonderful parents):
  • Some really awesome things from the Orchard House gift shop such as:
  • An awesome neon Louisa May Alcott t- shirt with a quote.
  •  4 Cool bookmarks with quotes on them
  •  I could use those bookmarks to read the books:
  • Little Women
  • Eight Cousins
  •  An Old Fashioned Girl, all by L.M. Alcott
Sweet, huh? I was practically squealing when we got the tour of Orchard House. It was so amazing. I dove into Little Women, of course, right after we left, which made the whole  book experience come even more alive.

I got to see Concord Academy, which I'm pretty sure was Colonial in the Mother - Daughter Book Club, and even Essex!

I've been nominated for a new award by Alicia the Awesome at Awesome Book Assessment, so I want to give a little shout out to say thanks to her. Thanks, Alicia!

Okay, so I'm going to end this a little weirdly. It's hard for me to type this, oddly.
Okay, so some of you read my other blog Tell Me About It. Now, you all probably have discovered my age, since on an author's Facebook page she revealed it in a post about my other blog, and I shared the link, with my mother's permission, not realizing. My parents just said "Oh well." My mom said that she was too proud of me to care, and that the author (Ann Margaret Hovsepian) probably didn't even know my age was anonymous .
So now on that blog I say it freely, but if you do know my age, don't freak out about it. It's not a big deal. And I know most of you are going to go check the blog now to see my age. I hope not.
Anyway, I'm going to ask my parents what I should do: I mean, I agree with them, saying my age can be harmful because of those weird people out there. But also, I didn't want to say my age because people would get all crazy over it.
So here's what I'm going to do: Apart from getting advice from my parents on whether to share it or not,
I want your opinon. So, email me. If you don't know my email it's bellafeforever(at)gmail(dot)com. It would help if before hand in your email you could tell me if you do know my age and what you think.

Am I obsessing over this?
I guess I am.
That's all for now, folks. Thanks for reading!

Quotes, fangirling, and other Exciting Things

Hello readers! How are ya'll doing?

I hope you're doing fine today. Anyway, so as you might know from reading my blog for the past few months, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the Mother Daughter Book Club  by my favorite author, Heather  Vogel Frederick.
Well, a couple of weeks ago my mother and I were talking and she surprised me: "Bella fe," She said (this means pretty in Spanish and 'fe' comes from my middle name, Faith), eyes twinkling. "What was that you were saying about Concord?"
Falling for it, I replied "It's the setting of my favorite series, The Mother Daughter Book Club, mom."
"You're going there over Spring break!"
I started squealing with joy. She went on to explain that I'm going to visit a bunch of the places mentioned such as the Orchard House, home of the author Louisa May Alcott who wrote Little Women!! And I'm going to take a tour of it! * fangirls *
 Okay, okay.
I just had to share because I really really wanted to go! I'm also excited for Friday. Our church does this really fun thing where all of the women go upstate and have a bunch of fun over the weekend. In other words, it's a time to not only stay up late with my best friend, but a time for my relationship with God to grow.
So now, for my quotes. Let me explain.
So I've bookmarked a couple of my favorite Mother- Daughter Book Club quotes, and here I'll be sharing them and telling you why I chose them.

1.  Dear Pen Pal
"I was so worried about myself, and how I was going to fit in, that it honestly never occurred to me to worry about Emma being lonely."
We all sometimes worry about fitting in, that we forget about other people who might be close to us in the process.
2. Dear Pen Pal
" Friends are one of life's richest blessings."
Words from Gigi herself that you can't argue with, right?
3.  Dear Pen Pal
" I'd like to have a place like that to go to in the summer so I could work on a book too."
I know exactly how Emma feels. Most writers have a time, or place, or setting where they can just write and write and be perfectly content with it, something that doesn't happen often (writers being content with what they wrote). For me, it's staying inside my Jeep on an extremely rainy day. I don't know. Something about the rain calms me. Maybe it's the way it patters softly on our hood, like little feet, or the way it runs down my window like a tear drop. The tear- drop - like drops of water on my window make me feel like writing something emotional. I don't know...
  4. Dear Pen Pal
"They are seriously cute!
'No kidding,' Answers Becca.
Darcy or no Darcy, I have to agree."
I love Darcy, but Owen and Sam were..nice, too.
5. Much Ado About Anne
" There's only one thing my heart desires tonight. I shut my eyes, wishing with all my might."
A little quote  "Home For The Holidays" to explain how I feel about this.
'Poetry. Sheer poetry.'

So, do you have favorite quotes from books? Why did you choose them?
Thanks for reading, folks. I'll post later!

Some National Poetry Month Writing

Jane here. Okay, so I get it. I haven't posted poetry or writing in general, but since April is national poetry month, why not?

Here it is:

I want to stay here, stay here frozen in time
Watching and waiting as the world goes by.
Waiting and waiting for it to stop,
breathing and looking as rain continuously drops.
To me not a dull moment, not a gray sky, watching
and waiting as the world goes by.
I want to stay here, as the sun comes out
listening and smiling as people walk about.

If you can't see it, just highlight and it'll come right up. Please ask for permission if you want to put this anywhere, thank you! Any comments or questions, email me or comment below!

So sorry if today's post was short, but my poem was short , so. That's it for today, folks. I'll post later!

- Jane Blogger

* NOTE:*
When you're done reading, there are three emotions with a little square in them. Please check one of them! One is funny, one is interesting, and one is cool. It's a fun little tasks and every week I'll see, based on the reactions to posts, what I should post more or less of! Thank you,

A new Look

Hello, how do you do? It's Jane Blogger, with some good news.

Well after deep thought, I decideed to spice up the looks of the Anything Blog. Yes, it was sad to see the pink and red stripes go, but I can always change back to that later. Anyhow, what do you think of the new theme? Is the book tacky for a background, or is it just right for a blog about books? I want your opinion. So yes, it is....

I'm always taking suggestions so I can use them to make TAB better. Oh, and from now on, I want everyone to email me using this, because it  doesn't contain any personal info: bellafeforever@gmail.com
Okay, that will be it for today, folks! Coming up on Monday : Do you enjoy it when books focus on one controversial topic and twist it into the plot? I'll have some different opinions for you from some other bloggers. Goodbye, folks!

Essential Elements for a Good Book

Jane here, fingers eagerly shaking from excitement. I forgot how fun this was! About that, very sorry I haven't been posting. I've been really busy. Here are my elements:

1. A clear plot (obviously so, but sometimes books are all over the place if you understand what I mean.)

2. A message or moral that is intertwined with the characters and events. ( You see, this is important. Not to sound harsh, but I just can't stand books with no message or point.)

3. Characters that I can connect with. This way, you understand the book so much more, and you can feel the emotions they might be feeling.

4. Unique personalities. I'm so tired of the stereotypes. I love it when an author dares to match two totally different personalities to make a friendship, too.

5. A full and satisfactory ending. What I mean is, some books just leave you wondering and confused. Like, "What just happened?" . And other times it just seems empty, like it wasn't really an ending, just another chapter.

Well, that is it for today, folks. Be sure to Comment and follow, andthink: What are 5 of your essential elements that go into creating an enjoyable book?

The Liebster Award! Questions and Answers

Hello everyone! I am actually very happy today. Why?

So, looking at my good blogger -friend's blog, I was happy for her. Why? She was nominated for the Liebster Blog Award! How awesome! And congratulations to her! So, you still might be wondering why I'm happy.
She was supposed to come up with 10 questions for 5 other blogs to participate. I was 4th on the list! So here are her questions ( You can visit this post on her blog Here ):
Now for my own questions.
  1. If you could do one thing that you were guaranteed wouldn’t fail, what would it be?
  2. What is your current favorite song?
  3. Small cottage or huge mansion?
  4. What is your blog’s purpose?
  5. If you could move to anywhere in the world, where would you move?
  6. Name one thing you couldn’t live without.
  7. What is the most beautiful you have ever seen?

3. Cottage cottage cottage! A cottage is a perfect place for a writer - cozy, small, yet big enough to think your thoughts.
4.  My blog's purpose. This is hard. "The Anything Blog" is kind of general, but my purpose is to connect to all book lovers, bloggers, and writers everywhere.
5. This is hard. I would probably move to Ireland, to visit where my grandmother was from.
6. Words.
7.  This is hard. I would probably say the sunset by the beach in Belize. It's really amazing.
8.  I would say eyes. I could see things, and silently comment about them.
9.  Writing. There are so many things to create, so many words to be used!
10. Merenge or ice cream.
Eleven facts about myself:
1. I love the color pink.

3.  I was 6  I started to write.
4. I started to dance ( ballet ) when I was 2.
5.  I absolutely adore French Vanilla.
6. I'm allergic to wheat and I'm Lactose intolerant.
7. My brother is my best friend, along with some others.
8.  I am deeply in love with the word :  Anthropomorphic right now.
9. Cheerleading is one of my favorite hobbies.
10. I'm a daddy's girl, while my brother is a mother's child.
11. I really hate when lists end with odd numbers.

My Ten Questions:
1. Curly or straight hair?
2. Chocolate or Vanilla ice cream?
3. Favorite book (I know it's hard)?
4. Favorite author?
5. What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
